If you like hanging decor, this hanging paper hearts mobile is a perfect craft for Valentine's Day! A few simple glitter hearts on string quickly turn into a beautiful mobile to hang from the ceiling. This is a great choice to hang over your table, in a bedroom, on a front porch, or anywhere in a classroom to help decorate for Valentine's Day!
Hanging Paper Hearts Mobile
Ever since my kids were little, I have loved the idea of mobiles. They are often made just for the little ones with bright colors and animals, but why do we stop at that?
I decided they can make a great decoration for any holiday or season. The result was this easy to make and pretty paper heart mobile idea.
This is a great addition for indoor decoration, but if you used different mediums, you could turn this into a wind chime of sorts. I love watching this blowing around in the breeze of my porch.

How do I Know How Many Hearts I Need?
There is no set number to use for this mobile. I made each string a bit different than the one beside it. My recommendation is to place your hearts every 1 ½"-2" apart.
Decide how long you want the twine to be on the mobile, then measure off every 2" and count how many you can fit. The best thing is that you can easily add more hearts later if you feel the end result needs more.
If you have extra craft paper or glitter paper on hand, you can use it to make this framed glitter hearts craft, a paper heart wreath, or this glittery heart flowers bouquet to share with friends and family.

How to Make a Paper Hearts Mobile
First, you will draw a heart shape onto a piece of white paper and cut out the heart to use as a guide and template on the rest of your paper.
Cut out multiple hearts from each color of paper you want to use on your paper hearts mobile.
Once you have all of your hearts cut out and set aside, measure and cut twine to tie onto the embroidery hoop for hanging the hearts.
Tie the twine in place on the embroidery hoop around 3" apart all the way around the hoop.
Now, every few inches, hot glue a heart onto the twine mixing colors for variety.
Once all pieces of twine have hearts in place, you will add at least 3 additional pieces of twine to pull up and tie together to use for hanging the mobile.
Display as desired.
