Materials
- Clear vase or bowl
- Clear plastic cup
- Candies in several colors
- Flowers (fresh or faux)
Instructions
- Start by gathering your supplies. You're going to need Easter candies in a variety of colors. You can use literally any type of candies you want, but something small and roundish will work best. You can use as many or as few colors as you want. It is up to you based on the size and shape of the vase you've chosen and how many layers of colors you want to create.
- Begin by setting a clear glass inside the vase or bowl you have chosen. It should go right in the center.
- Decide on which color of candy want to put on the very bottom. Use one hand to hold the glass in place in the center of the vase, while you pour in a layer of candy with the other. Stop when the layer achieves the thickness you desire.
- Pat down the candy layer with your hand until it is even all around the vase.
- Select the color of candy you wish to use next, and pour that in on top of the previous layer. You may not need to hold the glass in place with your hand any more, since the first layer of candies should be holding it relatively steady.
- Continue in this fashion, adding layer after layer until you have reached the top of the vase.
- If you are going to be putting real flowers in the vase, begin by pouring some water inside the cup.
- Finally, put the flowers inside the vase.
- When your candy vase is finished, it should look something like this.

Bring Some Color to Your Home, Office, or Event This Easter With Your Stunning Candy Vase
This project is versatile in a couple of ways. First of all, you can display it anywhere. Consider putting one of these on a table or cabinet at home or setting it on your desk at work. It also makes for a lovely centerpiece for an Easter party.
The other reason this project is versatile is because there are so many different ways that you can customize it. Just by changing the shape or size of the vase you use, you can give it an entirely different look.
You can use just a few layers or a whole bunch. You could alternate between just a couple of colors, or you could make an entire rainbow gradient. There are so many ways you can let your creativity flow.
One more thing that is great about making this DIY Easter vase is that no cutting or gluing of any type is required. With their colors and texture, the candies also offer a pleasing sensory experience. So this would be a fun activity to do with your little ones.
Should you use real or fake flowers? That is totally up to you based on how you plan to display the vase and how much maintenance you want to do.
If you are just going to use this as a centerpiece for a one-time event, using fresh flowers would definitely add to its appeal.
On the other hand, if you're going to display this for a month at home or at the office, using faux flowers is probably a better option. It will save you a lot of time and trouble, and it will help you avoid triggering anyone's allergies unintentionally.
