DIY Carrot-Shaped Candy Container for Easter Treats

Looking for a cute and clever way to present Easter treats to someone special this year? In this video tutorial, learn how you can craft a DIY Easter candy container in the shape of a carrot! With simple supplies and easy steps, this is a fun project which anyone can do in a matter of minutes.
Materials
- Orange fabric or paper
- Green fabric or paper
- Green ribbon
- Candies
Tools
- Scissors
- Hot glue and glue gun
Instructions
- To begin with, take a few minutes to visualize how large you want your finished carrot container to be. Then, cut an orange rectangle of fabric or paper which will be a sufficient size to serve as the carrot, along with a longer, narrower strip of green paper or fabric which will be made into the carrot top.
- Once you have the green strip of fabric or paper, you are going to use a pair of scissors to cut lots of little fringes along the entire length of it from one side to the other.
- When you have finished the step above, set the green strip of fabric or paper with the fringes aside. Get the orange piece mentioned earlier, and fold the edges in to make a long, narrow cone shape. One of the corners of the piece of fabric will become the point of the carrot.
- Use hot glue to secure the cone shape.
- Right now, there is still a little bit of extra fabric/paper sticking out at the open end of your cone. Use your scissors to cut that off, creating a straight line. Now you have a perfect orange cone.
- Next, cut a small length of green ribbon. It will need to be long enough to tie around the base of the carrot to close it after you put your treats in.
- Now it is time to add your treats. Pour them into the carrot, making sure not to overstuff them. Hopefully there will be no problem with your glue holding, but you do not want to exert too much strain.
- You will now return to the long strip of green fabric or paper with all the fringes from step 2. Starting at one end, start rolling up the strip until you have done so completely.
- Now, insert the rolled-up green carrot top into the open end of the orange cone with the fringes still poking out. Pinch the end of the cone closed around it, and tie it securely in place using the ribbon. Your carrot container is complete!
