I do love a good cheesy jalapeno and I’ve always wanted to make my own but those things can be hard to do. Well, until now. I found a fabulous stuffed jalapenos recipe that I think you are going to love.
The best part of this recipe? It’s super easy, and these little spicy stuffed jalapenos are dressed up for Halloween! You use black food coloring to give them little faces and make them so spooky that even your kids are going to love them.
These are great for your Halloween party table or just make them as a neat little appetizer before dinner one night. Your entire family is going to love them. They’re super simple to make, and they only take about half an hour from start to finish.
These are great to go along with sweet tortilla soup or any other entrée that you want to pair them with.

Puff pastry and other ingredients make these stuffed jalapenos simple and delicious.
Stuff halves of your jalapenos and then roll in puff pastry before baking.
Egg wash makes the dough stick together and makes it look yummy.

Spicy Cheesy Stuffed Jalapenos Recipe

Ingredients
- 10 jalapeno peppers
- 1 cup of shredded cheese
- 2 tbsps. of scallions, sliced
- 1 cup of cream cheese
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- Egg wash
- Black food dye
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190C (375F).
- Slice puff pastry into thin strips.
- Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise, scoop out seeds.
- Mix shredded cheese, cream cheese, scallions and a pinch of salt together.
- Fill jalapeno halves with cheese mixture and wrap in strips of puff pastry.
- Brush jalapenos with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Using black food dye and a toothpick, draw eyes and mouths on “jalapeno mummies”.
