Have I mentioned how much my family loves football? We do, which means that I am always on the lookout for some tasty yet fun meals that we can enjoy on game nights. Whether we’re attending a local game and need something quick for dinner, or having a group of friends over to watch the Super Bowl, I love fun foods that are easy to make and go along with our football themed evenings.
That ‘s why I adore these bacon wrapped hot dogs. These are so tasty and they are perfect for football, baseball or any other game you may enjoy watching.
These only take 15 minutes to get ready to cook and another 15 minutes to cook, so when I say they’re quick to make, I mean it. Plus, they are super easy…and tasty. I mean, hot dogs and bacon; what’s not to love about that?
This recipe makes four hot dogs, however many servings that is for you, but you can easily adjust it to feed an entire crowd of people just in case you’re planning a game night or something.
These are so yummy and trust me when I say that your kids are going to love them. I actually made these as part of a party table, along with my pulled brisket sliders, and the entire evening was a huge success.
And, if you’re planning a game night party, I highly recommend making these soft pretzels along with bacon wrapped hot dogs to get that stadium feel right there are home.
Hot dogs and bacon – is there a tastier combination?
Just wrap bacon around hot dogs and hold in place with toothpicks while they cook
Top with shredded lettuce, onion, jalapeno and any of your other favorite toppings
The perfect game night or any night dinner idea!

My husband has been making these for years, but he wraps beef sausages in place of weiners, and adds chili on top. Our family calls them "Faufages." The naming of these is a whole other story!

Nice twist Jessica! Sounds like a fun family tradition 🙂

A slightly different variation is cutting the hot dog lengthwise but not all the way through. In the cut, add a dill pickle spear and some cheese cut into a long strip, then wrap in bacon, and grill or put under the broiler. Delicious!
