- 600 g (21 oz) of chicken breast, cut into 1-inch thick strips
- 2 cups of bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup of vegetable oil
- 180 g (6.3 oz) of shredded mozzarella
- 700 g (25 oz)of canned tomatoes
- 2 tbsps. of tomato paste
- 2 tbsps. of sugar
- 1 tbsp. of dried basil
- 1 tbsp. of garlic powder
Instructions
1. Make your own nuggets by seasoning chicken pieces with salt, dipping into egg and coating with breadcrumbs.
2. Mix crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, basil, and garlic in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours.
3. Fry breaded chicken in preheated oil over high heat until golden on the outside but still pink in the middle.
4. Add chicken and cheese to the sauce about 15 minutes before the end of the cooking.
