I love gardening projects, especially those that involve making creative planters. Last year I had a fun time making strawberry pallet planters, and this whimsical terracotta pot project blew my mind.
But when it comes to gifts for my gardening friends, I’ve long been at a bit of a loss. While those planters work great in my yard, I don’t want to make assumptions about the space my friends have or how they want to organize it. So I’ve never been too sure what kind of gardening-themed creative gifts I could make them.
But I just found the cutest idea EVER:
Video Tutorial
What starts as a few popsicle sticks gradually turns into something incredibly adorable: a mini-pallet for succulents! She does such a nice, neat job on this, and I really admire her attention to detail. I hope that I can make my mini-pallets look half as good as this!
Keep in mind that the succulents will not be able to thrive for long in this setup. So long as there is some room for the roots, they can continue to grow, but they will soon need to be transferred to a larger planter. So put these together right before you plan on gifting them. Then your friends can decide what kind of planter they want to transfer them to and where they want to put them in their home or yard.
I never could have come up with such a creative idea on my own. Enjoy the video, and have fun making mini-pallets for succulents!
