1. DIY Photo Candles
Who doesn’t just love candles? With this great DIY project, you get candles and a beautiful way to display your pictures. You can print your images out at home or have them printed at Wal-Mart or Walgreens. Then you just transfer them onto the candle and you can choose the size and shape of the candle that you want to use.
2. Bottle Cap Photo Magnets
I absolutely adore this project! I love bottle cap projects – they just seem so rustic and retro. When you add the fact that these also contain pictures and they’re refrigerator magnets, well you get the idea that this is a wonderful DIY project. Kids are going to love it, and it’s really easy. Plus, you can save up your bottle caps or buy them really cheap at most craft stores.
3. DIY Photo Hoop
This is a great way to display photos for a wedding or other celebration. I love how easy it is and it’s so elegant. You just use a satin ribbon to affix the pictures to a large quilting hoop and then add some floral decorations. This would be perfect for displaying relationship pictures at a wedding reception. Choose images that show the relationship from start to wedding. It’s such a wonderful gift idea, as well.
4. DIY Photo Ornaments
Okay, so the holidays are over, but you can still create and display these gorgeous DIY photo ornaments. You don’t have to hang them on a tree. Just sit them on a table or find other creative uses for them. You can find these empty ornaments at Walmart and most Dollar General Stores. Just fill them with your picture and whatever embellishments you want to add.
5. DIY Photo Collage Letters
These collage letters are so great and allow you so much creativity. You use Mod Podge to stick the pictures that you want to your letters, and you can use whatever letters you choose. Create a monogrammed picture display or spell out a special message. These are also perfect for gift-giving and so very easy to do!
6. DIY Ceramic Ornaments
Again, I know the holidays are over this year, but there’s always next year to look forward to, right? Plus, these great DIY ceramic ornaments don’t necessarily have to be for the Christmas tree. You can use them to dress up any room. Just hang them on the wall or use them as kitchen magnets. They’re really easy and so gorgeous when they’re finished.
7. DIY Photo Puzzle Blocks
Okay, this may be my favorite on the list for gifts. These DIY photo puzzle blocks are amazing and so very simple to make. Kids will adore them, mostly because they’re in puzzle form, and they are perfect for grandparents if you want a special Mother’s or Father’s Day gift. You just transfer your image onto tiny wooden blocks, and then the puzzle is showcased in a great wooden box.
8. DIY Photo Pendants
What better way to hold your loved one’s picture close than by turning that picture into a beautiful pendant? Again, this is a wonderful gift idea for anyone, plus you’ll want to make one for yourself. It’s not nearly as difficult to make as it looks. Personally, I would use smaller images and create a charm bracelet to match. What a wonderful Mother’s Day idea!
9. Magic Gift DIY Photo Box
I love this idea for turning photos into a wonderful magical box! The pictures are tied together with ribbon, and when you pull them out of the box, they create a special message. This is a wonderful gift idea for weddings that you may have coming up this year. It’s relatively easy to create, and you can bet that it’s a unique idea that no one else will think of creating.
10. DIY Photo Wood Slice Art
If you’re looking for a rustic country look, this DIY wood slice art is perfect. Honestly, it’s perfect for any look. I love the look of black and white photos on wood. It’s so gorgeous, and this is such an easy DIY photo display project. It’s also the perfect gift if you want something for that person who already has everything. I know you’re going to want to try this – you can buy wood slices from a lumber yard if you don’t have any on hand, and they’re really inexpensive.
11. Modern Photo Wall Art DIY
You can easily create your own art gallery-worthy wall art with just a few supplies and some time. I love how gorgeous these turn out and you have the flexibility of doing whatever size you need. You’ll need wooden blocks and some Mod Podge to attach the picture. This is such an easy and gorgeous DIY project!
12. DIY Lego Picture Puzzles
How cool are these Lego picture puzzles? These are great for pictures of the kids and make wonderful gifts. You just have to transfer your image to Legos and then cut accordingly. I love this idea and it’s so easy! If you have kids then you’re sure to have Legos. Instead of having them in the floor, where they hurt like the dickens when you step on them, turn them into gorgeous DIY picture puzzles.
13. DIY Mason Jar Picture Frame
Okay, so by now, you know how much I love working with Mason jars. I mean, there are just so many different things that you can do with them. Take these picture frames, for instance. They’re really easy to make and, honestly, the most creative thing I’ve seen when it comes to upcycling Mason jars. I love this entire project!
14. DIY Photo Wall Hanging
This DIY wall hanging is much like the photo hoop project, but it’s more of a freestyle project. I love how easy it is to create such a gorgeous picture display. You can do this in any number of shapes and sizes and all of them are really simple to create. Choose your embellishments and you’re all set.
15. DIY Cityscape Luminaries
Take those images from vacations and getaways and turn them into this amazing cityscape luminary. You could also do this with any type of picture, but I think the cityscape is gorgeous, especially when you light up the luminary, and it looks as if the buildings are lit up at night. This project is also pretty easy and perfect for gift-giving.
16. DIY PVC Pipe Picture Vase
What a great way to display those photos and use up some of that PVC pipe you have left over from other projects or repairs. This vase is a great idea and so very easy to make. I’m a sucker for repurposing, and this PVC pipe vase may be one of my favorite repurposing projects ever. It’s so creative and the perfect way to showcase your pictures!
17. DIY Picture Lampshade
Okay, this is a great project for grandparents. Imagine putting the pictures of all their grandbabies on a stunning lampshade! I love this project and how easy it is to put it all together. This is also great for adding timeline photos of your kids as they have grown over the years. You get a customized lampshade and one that shows off all of your favorite old photos.
18. DIY Personalized Photo Frame Wreath
This personalized photo wreath is a beautiful way to display those pictures. You’ll need frames for this one and a wooden wreath form. Just attach the frames to the wreath with wood glue and then add whatever decorations you want to make it more unique. This is another great gift idea for grandparents or anyone, really, and it’s pretty easy to make. You can also customize how many pictures you use, adding more or less as you need.
19. DIY Photo Clock
Here’s another great way to display your pictures, and one that’s really easy and so unique and creative. You’ll need a clock kit or base. This photo clock really works and beautifully shows off the pictures that you want to display. Honestly, who doesn’t want a unique clock that shows off their loved ones? This is a wonderful gift idea, as well.
20. Glowing Photo Luminaries
This is another wonderful way to showcase your favorite pictures in a luminary. I love luminaries as they’re so gorgeous when they’re lit and such a perfect way to show off those pictures. You’ll need a photo printer or somewhere to have your pictures printed, as well as double-sided tape, hurricane glass, and tealight candles. This is a really easy project. It’s so easy, in fact, that you can make several of them in a day’s time.
21. DIY Mini Magnets
Get out that Mod Podge and we’ll create these great mini magnets that show off your favorite pictures. Whether you use these on the fridge or in your office, you’re sure to love their creativity, and they are so very easy to make. You can create an entire collection of mini photo magnets in just a short afternoon. These are also great gifts for newlyweds or grandparents.
22. Giant DIY Photo Frame
An old door becomes the perfect DIY photo frame when you have just a couple of hours to work on it. I absolutely love this idea! You can find these old doors at most flea markets and thrift stores. You simply turn the glass panels into picture frames. What a neat and creative idea! You’re going to love the end result of this one, and everyone who sees it will love it.
23. DIY Photo Blocks
Once you get the hang of making your own photo blocks the possibilities are endless. You can create so many wonderful picture displays with this simple idea. You just need the blocks and some Mod Podge to get started. Use this project idea to create so many wonderful gifts or turn all of your favorite snapshots into gorgeous home décor.
24. DIY Geometric Photo Shapes
This is such a cool way to show off those vacation pictures. You turn them into geometric shapes, which is always fun. Just choose the images you want to use, cut out the appropriate shapes, and then put them all together into these spheres, cones, and other great-looking 3D frames. Kids will absolutely adore making these, and they’re great for the desk, or anywhere you want to showcase them.
25. Vintage Bottle Photo Displays
If you love vintage bottles, or vintage anything for that matter, you are going to really love these old bottles that display your photos. You can pick up old bottles at flea markets and thrift stores, and they’re really inexpensive. Turn those bottles into the perfect picture frames.
