I can’t even begin to count just how many photographs I take over the course of any given month. Dozens? Sometimes hundreds. I love photography as an art form, and I especially enjoy taking photos of my kids. But I don’t like just stuffing those shots away on my computer hard drive and forgetting about them either; I want them proudly on display!
I have found some very cool projects for displaying photos, like photos transferred onto stone, or at that rate onto wood. But I can’t do that every time—plus, I kind of like color photographs, and so I was looking for something a little more traditional.
Then I found it … a really smart idea for creating a photo cube using empty CD cases of all things!
You have to glue the cases together to form a cube, which I discovered was a little bit trickier than it looked, but it wasn’t too hard. It took me a few tries, but I was able to put a couple of photo cubes together, and they look awesome on display on our coffee table.
Oh, by the way, you don’t necessarily need old CD cases to do this project—just empty ones! You can purchase empty CD cases online or at a store like Best Buy. So no need to go throwing any CDs away—despite the fact that it appears that is exactly what the video’s creator did. Regardless, her project is totally awesome!
