Over the past few years I have really gotten into gardening. Now that it’s springtime, this is the perfect time to do a lot of planting. So I have been sharing a lot of gardening hacks, and I have just discovered another.
I am lucky enough to have a big yard in the suburbs, so I have plenty of room to plant. But not all my readers are so fortunate. I get a lot of requests for gardening tips for small spaces. It’s about time I posted some! So here is the first—an awesome way you can stack your pots to maximize your use of vertical space:
It looks so whimsical, like it is just defying gravity! But the secret is to embed some cement in the bottom pot for a weighted base, and then to push a rebar through the middle. This gives the tower of tipsy pots its structure. You can then take advantage of all that vertical space. So even if the only space you have to garden in is a tiny patio or balcony, you can grow herbs and flowers.
This is a really cool hack, and it looks like a really easy one too. Even though I have a lot of space to garden in my yard, I am still planning on trying this. It just has a really cute, quirky look to it, and I would love to have my herbs growing right out on my patio next to my kitchen door!
