If there is one thing I can’t stand, it’s those mornings … you know the ones. Your alarm clock goes off at 5:30, you hit snooze on mistake, and you wake up ten minutes more in a rush to get out the door. You’re running late by the time you shovel through the snow clogging your driveway and finally manage to get in your car. And then you find your windows are fogged over—really fogged over. You sit there for another ten minutes frantically trying to get them clear enough that you can see. Now you are ridiculously late for work.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could get your windows clear quickly with just a few easy steps? Former NASA engineer Mark Rober has put together a quick video sharing a scientifically-proven four-step method! You’ll be on the road in no time. Now I never have to be late to work again!
Here are the 4 steps!
1. Turn your heater on high.
2. Turn your A/C on.
3. Turn off inside circulation.
4. Crack open your windows.
That’s it! You’re welcome!

Hi that's brilliant but what happens when you don't have AC?
Marguerite

i sure am happy o try this handy idea
Bev
if you put your car's AC on with the temperature set to heat you will destroy your AC; this is also true about the AC in your house!

I have done this for years per manual instructions in the '70's. I am still loyal to the manufacturer of my car, still defrost my windows the same. Never heard of destroying the AC.

Seems like a myth or old no longer applicable given the incredibly high number of cars which automatically turn on the AC when the defroster is in use.

Total myth Bev,
Cooling and heating systems in a car are separate units - compressor evaporator and condenser circuit cools and dehumidifies the air. the cool dry air than passes over the heater core which is filled with engine coolant and part of the cars cooling system. which warms the dry air.
If by some chance there is a car manufacturer that has built a car that self destructs when using the heater and AC simultaneously would be an embarrassment to the designers.

Thanks, that was great. Can't wait to try this.

Ok, this is a little off the topic of defogging the windshield, but you mentioned it in your video.
Contrails are condensed water vapor behind a jet that quickly disperses a couple hundred yards behind the jet. A chemtrail is maid up of physical particles that remain persistent across the sky as they slowly disperse. If you think that is bogus or not true then take a look at legislation passed by congress in 2002.
