Brilliant Project: Make Your Own Designer Shoes with Just a Little Glue

Brilliant Project: Make Your Own Designer Shoes with Just a Little Glue
Now there’s a brilliant way to dress up those boring old sneakers. This video shows you how to take plain canvas sneakers and create your own designer shoes in a matter of minutes. While it’s snowing outside and you need something to do, or just anytime you want a great new pair of shoes, use this trick to create them. There’s even a great trick to keep them smelling wonderful.

Video Tutorial:

You know how much I love DIY fashion, and this may be my favorite one yet. Imagine the possibilities. You can create different shoes for every occasion, and this is a great project for the kids. While they’re out of school this winter, let them make their own designer sneakers. It’s a fast and easy project, and one that gives you great new shoes. Who doesn’t just love a new pair of shoes? And remember there’s a lot of amazing ways to keep all those new shoes organized.

So, you’ll need a pair of sneakers, some lace or thin fabric, glue, and a paintbrush and craft knife. You can pick up cheap canvas shoes at the Dollar Store or even Wal-Mart, and probably spend less than $5 on them. Check out your local sales paper and take advantage of some cheap sneakers or head over to Goodwill or maybe a garage sale or two. You’ll have cheap shoes that look really expensive when you’re finished with them.

Be sure to come back and let me know how the project went, and share your pictures. I would love to see what your designer sneakers look like! Video by Whatsupmoms

What if they get wet? I would think the material would come off.
