Do I Have to Frame This?
When it comes to crafts like this, there is no set way to make them. You can easily skip the frame and leave this mini Christmas tree as just the tree. If you want to leave off the frame, you want to glue the wood slice mini Christmas tree together. From there you can prop the tree up against the wall to make it stand up.
If you want to give the tree a base, you can use the same idea that I used with the wood slice snowman. Use a few wood slices to glue to the bottom of the tree. It can also be glued to a piece of wood, painted cardboard, or anything similar that can be propped against the mantle if you wish.

You can also create your own frame. Use scrap wood pieces to create a frame. Juar glue or nail the wood into a frame, and add a cardboard backing to glue the tree onto. You can even use cardboard and wrap it in festive scrapbook paper.
Where Can I Find Wood Slices for Crafting?
Some people get their wood slices from trees around their home or use slices that they get from the bottom of the Christmas tree before placing it in the stand. Of course, it's easiest to pick them up in the craft area of your local department store.
If you need to get wood slices for crafting you can get there online or in some craft stores. Big box stores like Walmart or craft stores like Michaels, Joannes, or Hobby Lobby sell these pieces of wood. You can order the wood slices online from places like Amazon and Etsy. Sometimes, people also sell these pieces of wood on the Facebook marketplace.
