I know that a lot of you out there are under the false pretense that no one can function without their morning cup of coffee... Sure, coffee is a massively popular beverage, but it may surprise you to learn that tea is in fact the most widely consumed beverage in the world (excluding water, of course).
I, myself, am a proud member of Team Tea, not Team Coffee. To me, sipping a warm cup of tea is like getting a hug, but on the inside. The taste isn’t quite as potent as coffee (so I can drink a lot of it throughout the day), there are a bajillion varieties, and overall, I just find it to be so very soothing.
I could go on forever about the many reasons why I love tea, but perhaps I’ll save my lecturing and attempted converting for another day. For those of you who already love tea as much as I do, I’d like to make you aware of how you can stretch the benefits of your tea bag after that delicious brew.
Video:
1. Soothe Skin Irritations
The effects of minor irritations like sunburn and mosquito bites can be radically reduced by placing a cold used tea bag on the area. The same can be done for tired puffy eyes or dark circles.
2. Deodorizer
Damp tea bags are great at absorbing smells, so one in each of your teenage son’s stinky shoes could save your nostrils by the morning; it’ll also help get rid of the funky fridge smell.
3. Degreaser
Instead of breaking your arm trying to scrub off that pesky grease that just won’t budge, leave your dishes to soak with some tea bags overnight. You’ll notice the results when you get scrubbing the next morning.
4. Pest Repellent
If you’ve ever had a problem with any rodents or bugs getting in your kitchen cupboards (yikes!), simply toss in your used tea bag to keep your food safe.
