Hang as a decoration or use as a pin cushion - this adorable project is super cute!
SUPPLIES NEEDED: – Old blue jeans – Cardboard – Cotton balls – Twine – Flower beads – Flower beaded ribbon – Empty packing tape roll – White thread – Sewing needle – Scissors
Step 1: Cut a circle of cardboard out. Then lay on denim and cut a circle about 3" wider on all sides.
Step 2: Now, sew along the edge of the denim then cinch it upwards and over the cardboard. Sew and tie off the end.
Step 3: Place the tape roll in the center of another circle of denim then stuff it with cotton balls. Repeat the sewing and cinching to cover the sides.
Step 4: Glue the smaller piece onto the top of the larger one covering the open space. Then glue beaded ribbon around the base where it connects.
Step 5: Cut a length of denim and scallop the edges then sew together and secure into a circle in the center. Glue a bead on the middle to create a flower. Repeat for 3 total.
Step 6: Glue lengths of rope on the back of the hat, then glue the denim bows on the end of each rope. Add a loop for hanging on top.
Use this as a pin cushion or a cute decoration in any room! Customize with ribbon, beads, and rope to fit your style.
