Clean and dry a milk carton, then cut it in half and discard the spout end. Cover the outside of the carton in red foam paper and glue to secure.
Using foam paper, cut out a square face (width of the box), a white beard, mustache, cream nose, and add googly eyes to create the face.
Glue the face to the front of the box leaving 1" of space at the top to attach the hat and fur trim. You can add pink cheeks or additional features if wanted on the face.
Cut an 8" wide strip of fabric or paper and wrap then glue around the top of the box leaving it open on top. Then glue a strip of ribbon or fur around the base of the paper.
Tie the top with ribbon after filling with cookies, candy, or small gifts. This can be displayed as decor or used for gifting!
