SUPPLIES NEEDED:  Empty can Paper Red paint White paint Craft knife Hot glue gun Hot glue sticks

TIME TO MAKE:  1 hour

Trace an arch from the top to bottom, then cut this out.

Fold a piece of paper in half then use a soda can as a guide to mark 1" from the bottom and from the top of the can.

Use scissors or a craft knife to cut out that portion of the can and smooth the edges.

Unfold the paper and use it to trace the shape onto the outside of the soda can.

Once dry, paint the top red and around the bottom edge red.

Paint the outside of the soda can white and let dry.

Then use the same piece to create a dotted edge around the open portion of the can.

Use a pencil eraser to make dots of red paint all around the outside of the can.

Once the paint has all dried,  you can then start gluing the fake succulents onto the inside bottom of the can.  Arrange as desired.

This fun little soda can planter is ideal for both fake plants as shown, or live succulents with just a bit of soil.  Display on a mantle or shelf as desired.
