SUPPLIES NEEDED: Empty bottles Dowel rod White & red spray paint White & yellow craft paint Decals Raffia Rope Twine Craft knife Paintbrush Soldering iron Scissors
Around the cut edge of the top, cut scallops out.
Cut an empty plastic bottle in half, discarding the bottom.
Cut a 2" wide by 3" tall "door" in the front of this piece leaving the base intact.
Then cut the bottom of a bottle out and discard the top.
Then spray the top, including the lid, red. Set these aside to dry completely before continuing.
Spray paint the bottom piece white.
Then us craft paint to create white and yellow flowers randomly on the red top.
When dry, cut a hole in the lid and string twine through for hanging.
Place the top over the bottom then push a dowel rod through the holes to connect it.
Punch a hole on both sides of the top, then line up the bottom and cut holes in the same places.
Add a bit of rope around the base opening and fill with raffia or bird seed.
Glue a fake bird on top of the bottle, along with twine around the neck.
Hand this bird's nest in a tree or on your porch railing. It's a great spot for birds to come rest or even bring their babies!
