Most of my décor around my house is stuff I have made from scratch. Taking up crafting has made it so easy to create a rustic country look and feel which is very homey. Some of my bigger projects have included farmhouse furniture (see this link for examples), while I have also made a lot of outdoor projects like these lovely garden decorations.
Recently I was looking at my kitchen table, and I realized that my old centerpiece, while pretty, really did nothing to complement my decor. I figured maybe I could replace it with something more rustic, so I looked online to see if there were any DIY projects for rustic centerpieces which I could try, and lo and behold, I found this fabulous video created by YouTuber Rachel Talbott. This video includes not one, but four, amazing projects for DIY décor enthusiasts—two of which work very well together!
Video Tutorial:
This video taught me how I could create a perfect rustic centerpiece using nothing more than a bit of rope, a plate, and hot glue! It was an easy and fun project, and it looks great on my table. I also did the next project in the video to create a painted “metallic” vase, and I have that sitting on top of the centerpiece.
The other two projects for a pebble shoe mat and a no-sew pillow cover are awesome too! Watch the video and enjoy Rachel’s great presentation style, easy instructions, and simplicity of these budget-friendly DIY décor projects. There is something here for everyone. I will probably try the pebble mat next!
