Whenever I throw a dinner party, I always want to do something extra special to impress my guests. For that reason, I am totally obsessed with centerpieces and table settings!
A lot of the centerpieces we’ve shared in the past however are really only suitable for certain holidays and events, like these 21 Christmas centerpieces and these 40 Easter centerpieces.
So I’m very excited today to share an exclusive video with you which teaches you how to make a centerpiece which is exquisitely elegant and which you could use on any occasion. It’d be wonderful for dinner parties, but also would be a superb centerpiece if you were planning a romantic dinner for two.
Video Tutorial:
Materials:
Teacup
Saucer
Metallic fork
Glue gun
Glue stick
Decorative flowers (Amazon.com affiliate links)
Steps:
1. Begin by bending the fork so that the tines are flattened slightly. You need to increase the amount of bend in the fork. This will allow it to stop upright on the plate.
2. The next step is to glue the fork onto the saucer so that it is standing up on its own.
3. Next you need to glue the teacup to the fork.
4. Finally, you need to coat the entire handle of the fork with glue. Before it dries, attach the flowers. Be sure that you cover the entire handle so that it appears that there is no fork.
When you are done, the teacup appears to be floating above the saucer with the flowers spilling out of it. The final effect is incredibly elegant!
