We recently had a little windfall of cash, and my husband took the opportunity to purchase a brand new flat-screen TV. The TV is huge, and the high-definition image is amazing. I’m totally in love with it—that is, when it is on. The rest of the time it’s just this big black blob on the wall—not pretty at all. This was bugging me, so I asked myself, “What can I do about this?”
I enjoy woodworking projects, like these ones for reclaimed wood, and I know a lot of great woodworking hacks. So I thought, “Maybe something with wood that would fit in with our rustic décor a lot better?”
I did some research on YouTube, and guess what I found? Exactly what I was looking for.
That’s right … I totally found a woodworking project for adding a frame to my TV! I haven’t done this project yet, but I am thrilled because this is going to be the perfect look for my living room. It looks like a pretty basic project too, one that even a beginner could do. I do worry that it will disrupt ventilation on the TV, though, so I probably will look into modifying it with the addition of some air vents before I build it. I will let you know how it goes! In the meantime, check out the video, and enjoy your own project to add a frame to your flat-screen TV!
