Summer is a time for enjoying flip-flops and other toe-less shoes. It is also the time to ensure that you have summer ready feet. While you can always book a pedicure at your favorite salon, wouldn’t it be better if you could just do your own pedicure at home? Think of the time and money you could save and you could look like you literally just stepped out of the salon.
To do your own spa pedicure, you will need a few basic pedicure tools. Make sure that you have nail clippers, a cuticle knife, a nail file and buffer, a pedi paddle and your favorite nail color. You can start by soaking your feet in a detox bath or in Epsom salts for about 5 minutes.
You need to remove any nail polish from both feet and then file or clip your toenails to the desired length. Be sure that you also remove any cuticle that may be in the way of your perfect polish. Once you have your nails the length that you want and you have pushed back or removed cuticles, begin applying your base coat. Once that dries, apply 2 coats of the polish that you want and allow those to dry as well. Now, just apply the top coat and you are ready to go. If you are in a bit of a hurry, you can blow dry your toenails to get them dried faster so that the polish does not smudge when you walk.
