I am a hardcore DIYer. Seriously, every room in our home has at least one furniture item I made from scratch. Using some of the beautiful DIY table ideas we’ve collected over the years, I have made not one, but several, different tables throughout our house.
Most of the tables I have built are fairly simple designs based on pallets—like this one. You can see why, checking out that post; these ideas are simple, fast and easy, and have a fairly quick payoff. The finished table is functional and adds a lovely rustic touch to our decor.
But recently I found a video showing how an artist named Kyle Toth created a phenomenally beautiful, artistic and unique table. This is way beyond a simple pallet table:
Creating this design involves drilling a lot of tiny holes in the woodwork in such a fashion as to create an extremely intricate pattern. Watching him do it, you can see that it is painstaking work which involves great attention to detail. You also cannot imagine what it will look like after he is done. But thankfully you do not have to; you just need to watch until the end of the video. The finished result is breathtaking to behold.
Kyle has more than half a million views on his table, and they are very well deserved. He's selling most of the things he does here. I’m off to check out the rest of his videos now—and to start scheming how I can create one of these tables for my own home!
