Every year I just love to get out in the garden! I am out there first thing in the springtime—earlier when I can get away with it. By summertime I usually have a number of vegetables and flowers growing nicely. This summer, though, I have been struggling with a few plants and have been searching for a new edge. I’ve just found that edge, and it’s something I didn’t expect … coffee.

So why am I acting like coffee grounds is a fresh discovery for me? I avoided trying them in the past though because I thought that they’d make my soil acidic. Their pH is actually near neutral, though, and they have so many benefits for your plants! Check out this really informative video I just discovered:
Coffee grounds are great for improving the drainage and texture of your soil. And as they decompose, they release all kinds of healthy nutrients that your plants need: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and more. You can use them as compost or mulch, and most plants love them! So give this method a try; you may find that it takes your gardening to a whole new level!
