Decorating the front porch is a must in my book, and this ornament stand makes it so easy. Rustic Wreath
One of the simplest, and most beautiful ways you can add some rustic charm to your Christmas decorating is to simply add a rustic wreath to your front door. You can add burlap to an existing wreath, or head over to the craft store (or the woods) and pick up some evergreen to create your own gorgeous, rustic country wreath. You can also make the wreath from burlap and add a plaid bow to the top.

Stocking Holders
Who says you need to pay a fortune for stocking holders? These DIY photo hangers are great and so personalized. Or, you could decorate them in more of Christmas festive look; it’s entirely up to you.

WANDA
I live in the country and your idea of rustic is our idea of firewood and mostly trash. We would not use any of that junk for Christmas.
Lori Washburn
Wanda that is very rude, I hope you know enough to apologize for your horrible comments! Just another reminder, invade you were never taught, if you can say something nice, say nothing st all
Nancee
I live in the country too, WANDA...and MY idea of "trash" is rude, nasty people like YOU! Get over yourself and learn some manners!
Kathyy
Well said. Where is her Christmas spirit?
Crystal
I would love to see what you can come up with for "DO IT YOURSELF" projects WANDA...anyone with any sense of decor and style would know that the projects posted here are quite valuable and desirable. As an interior designer and DIYer, I make a very comfortable living creating this type of decor for my clients, which wouldn't be possible without blogs like this one sharing ideas. Take a look at the app called Pinterest, you might learn a thing or two. I, too live far out in the country but it may do you some good to make a trip to town and actually educate yourself on what is trending in rustic decor, and maybe stop by and volunteer at a soup kitchen for a lesson in humility.
Wicked wanda of christmas
Wow, la de da Wicked Wanda. Don't click on it if you don't like it just to write a rude remark. I says Scrooge off lady!!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have always loved and cherished things made of "trash" that nature leaves for us to embellish with an artful idea. Lovely, lovely ideas

Every year it gets more difficult to find gifts for my kids (a 16 year old boy and 14 and 15 year old girls) to make for their grandparents for Christmas. This post was a goldmine! String art reindeer for my littlest, and my son made the wooden box centerpiece with soda bottles. Sophisticated designs (handprints aren't cute at this age) that fit into their busy finals schedule. Thank you!!
Tammy
My Mom always said, if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. I thing your ideas are great and it is wonderful to recycle and use what would normally end up in a landfill. I love the rustic look and your posts are inspirational. A word for Wanda-Can you spell SCROOGE!!! Merry Christmas to all.
Mbig

Not all Country people act like Wanda! Thank God!
Kimberly
WOW!! Wicked Wanda must be Krampus in a disguise! Probably just a jealous troll!!
On a more positive note, love your blog! Great stuff! I also live in the country. We host 3 of the largest craft fairs in the states. I can tell you for a fact that decor like these items are hot sellers. Those that have stuff like this, sell out within hours! The fairs last from 3 to 6 days. If you wait until after the 1st day, you cannot get anything like this, it just sells that quickly!! The only thing that sells better, is homemade pottery. If this is nothing more than trash to Wicked Wanda, she has no idea of the gold she has had laying around!!
eliza
To me every season is magical and to look through all these amazing ideas is such a joy especially with Christmas on the horizon, it adds to the excitement. Thank you for such wonderful ideas, so easy to achieve. For me to receive a handmade/homemade gift couldn't be more perfect and I hope that would apply to those I send to too. I live in the United Kingdom close to Greenwich but with lots of beautiful countryside and woodlands around and out there is much that can be recycled. So notepad and ideas at the ready here I come.
