1. How to Make a Wintry Frozen Candle Jar Decoration
One of the most enchanting things about the holiday season to me are Christmas lights. I really like mood lighting in general, so for me, nighttime during the holidays is simply magical. Everything seems to be bathed in a warm glow.
2. Painted Jolly Snowmen
These are simply adorable, and you can actually have so much fun with them. You don’t have to be an incredible artist – just print out a snowman image that you like and trace that onto your jar. From there, you can use craft pens to draw in all the little details.
3. Snowcapped Pinecones
For something really simple, clean, and elegant, make yourself some of these candle holders with the jars that you’ve been collecting. Snow, candles, and pinecones are such a classic match for Christmastime; as they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
4. Crocheted Jar Cluster
These darling little jar sweaters are just too cute! They’d look great as a display on your mantelpiece with some tea lights shining through – especially the sewn lace sweater (it’s also the easiest one to make), or even just as a vase for some colorful flowers.
5. A Lovely Christmas Township
This is one of those projects that makes me wonder how I didn’t think of it before. It’s actually so effortless to do – especially with the supplied templates, but don’t be afraid to create your own scene. Bear in mind that the fake snow is a temporary thing that will eventually come off, so if you want something more permanent that you can use again next year, consider flecking white paint with a toothbrush instead.
6. Snowman Snow Globe
Snow globes have always made me so nostalgic for my childhood; I used to find them so fun and fascinating, but never thought that I’d be able to make my own! It’s a lot easier to make yourself than you’d think, and you can personalize the jolly snowman as you wish. Perfect for a kid’s room, gift, or mantelpiece display.
7. Hot Chocolate Recipe
Everyone loves a nice warm mug of hot chocolate on a chilly day, and everyone loves Rudolph – unless they’re the Grinch. It makes sense, then, to create a Rudolph jar of hot chocolate, right? The recipe is delicious (try to get the dark cocoa powder; it makes all the difference!), and the decoration and labels are as cute as they are easy to make.
8. Rustic Centerpiece
If you’re running around like a headless chicken sorting out the food and drinks for Christmas dinner, and on top of that, getting the house tidy and yourself looking pretty, a centerpiece may not always be high on your list of things to make. This one is quick and easy to put together, yet still looks well thought-out and perfectly planned.
9. Snowman Light
This is a great craft to get the kids involved in – it’s something to keep them busy, get their creative DIY Instructions and Project Credit –juices flowing, and when it’s done, light up their rooms in such a charming, festive way.
10. Personalized Snow Globe
A snow globe doesn’t necessarily have to feature a snowman; with a jar of fake snow and some water, you can pick up any tree, figurine, ornament, or pretty item to display inside. It doesn’t even have to be Christmas-themed because the snow globe itself already brings the holiday cheer.
11. Snowman Luminary
No adult could ever love Christmas as much as a child does, so here is another darling craft to get the little ones involved in. This fuzzy-faced snowman luminary will look adorable just about anywhere.
12. Cluster Light
You need quite a few jars for this one, so you may need to ask friends or neighbors for some handouts. don’t worry if they’re different sizes; it’ll just add to the rustic charm. It’s a beautiful addition to the outside porch, but it’ll also look absolutely stunning as an indoor chandelier.
13. Illuminated Snow Scene
This happy little snowy scene is really easy to make; you can include any Christmassy ornament, but I’m totally in love with the happy little penguin and the way the light shines down on him. Go ahead and make a whole collection to set atop your mantelpiece.
