1. DIY Refrigerator Magnets
You can make adorable container magnets from old candy or spice containers and use them to really dress up the side or front of your fridge. You just have to use a hot glue gun to attach magnets to the back of your chosen containers, and that’s it. Old tin containers look great, and you don’t even need hot glue for these to get the magnets to stick.
2. Make a Clock
This isn’t a real clock, but it certainly looks like one. If you have a round cutting board or a round cheese or cake plate base, you can just turn the plain wood into a great-looking clock. You just have to paint the numbers on and then dress it up however you want. Using old Roman numerals is a great way to give it that extra unique look. You can sand it down once you’ve finished painting to give it a great distressed look.
3. Dress Up Your Stand Mixer
Using some stencil patterns and some wall vinyl, you can turn your boring old stand mixer into a one-of-a-kind piece of art. You can find a lot of stencil patterns online, so you have the choice of completely customizing how it looks. You just have to cut the vinyl into whatever shape you want, and the great thing is that this vinyl is really inexpensive, so you can mix and match the colors if you choose.
4. Paint Wooden Spoon Handles
Make your own Ombre set, or you can paint stripes or anything you want. All you need is a set of wooden spoons, and if you don’t already have a few, these are really inexpensive at the Dollar Store. For stripes, just use painter’s tape to mark off where you want the stripes to go, or you can make it really colorful and use neon colors.
